Why a Financial Planner?
Great question.
You probably see a medical professional to get advice on how best to address current medical issues and to enable you to live a long, healthy life. You're not required to see a doctor, you could treat yourself, but you know that someone with training and expertise adds value to your well-being.

A financial planner is similar - someone with expertise and training to provide you with advice and recommendations to help you achieve your financial goals and live your best life.
You hope to live a long life, don't you want enough money to allow you to enjoy that time and fulfill your goals?

What can you expect?
Our first discussion will be a time to get to know each other and ensure we're a good fit to work together - we'll both play a role in this process to be successful!
Then, we'll need to collect some information - like the medical analogy above, an understanding of your current financial health is important. There is no judgment here - many Americans have issues with their financial health - national statistics prove that! Let's get an honest look at your current situation. From there, we'll discuss where you want to be in the future.
Later meetings will provide you options for moving towards your goals. With information, you'll decide what course of action is best for you and we'll talk about how best to implement the plan.
Future sessions will check on your financial progress, make any corrections and potentially rebalance to ensure the best chances of success. And everyone has life changes - we'll discuss those from a financial perspective and how your plan may need to adjust.

Money should enable your life, not run your life - we'll look at your finances in a holistic context that works best for you. Rising Tides will provide you advice and options - you make the final decisions.
